Meet Our Chief Catalyst

Christina L. Scott
Chief Catalyst
Christina grew up in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and loves nurturing tomatoes, okra, and black-eyed peas in her Instagram-worthy garden. She founded Catalyzing Change LLC after seeing too many organizations struggle to close the gap between their stated values and their daily realities. She believes transformation rarely requires starting over; more often, it requires planting the right seed and creating the conditions for growth. Christina sees herself, and Catalyzing Change, as a catalyst, helping people and organizations turn intention into lived practice.
​
Christina has built her expertise across education, organization development, training, and public service, coaching and collaborating with executive leaders, teams, and organizations to strengthen culture, performance, and impact. Her career began as a Teach For America corps member, where she developed a deep appreciation for self-awareness in leadership—acknowledging bias, privilege, and perspective while guiding others to do the same. She later expanded her work at both local and federal levels, applying this lens to support large-scale, systemic change.

A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Christina brings enough structure to keep complex work on track, and enough flexibility to adjust when real life inevitably intervenes. She holds a Master of Science in Organization Development from American University, a Master of Arts in Urban Education from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Fordham University. Based in Washington, DC, she also serves as Director of Operations and a Board Member of The Ruby Ball Foundation. Outside of work, Christina finds grounding in yoga, tending her garden, and creating space for deep conversations that challenge the status quo.
