Questions About The Partner Check
What does this check look at?
Three things. First, whether the work in front of you needs steady support over several months. Second, whether your organization is ready to use that support well. You need both for a fractional partnership to pay off. Third, if a partnership is not the right fit, which kind of support is: executive coaching, a focused change project, a facilitated session, or learning and development for your team.
What is it based on?
The readiness questions draw on Bryan Weiner’s research on organizational readiness for change (2009). His work shows that change goes best when leaders are committed to it and believe they can carry it out. The other questions look at the gap that stalls most plans: the work is clear, but no one has the time or experience to keep it moving.
What is a fractional change partner?
A senior organization development and change partner who works inside your organization part-time, on a monthly retainer, to help your leaders carry out the work. Learn more about the service.
Is this a substitute for talking with someone?
No. It is a fast, honest starting point. Most next steps still benefit from an outside perspective, which is what an introductory call is for.
