Who We Are

Catalyzing Change LLC ("Catalyzing Change," "we," "us") is a leadership coaching and organization development consultancy based in Washington, DC. This policy covers catalyzingchange.com and explains what personal information we collect when you visit or use it, and what we do with it.

Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly, through the forms on this site:

• Contact form ("Send a message" on /connect): First name, last name, email, organization, what brought you here, your message, and how you heard about us.
• Newsletter signup (the subscribe prompts across the site): First name, last name, and email.
• Self-assessments (The Unsaid, The Foundation Check): Your answers are scored in your browser and never sent anywhere on their own. Only if you choose to email yourself the results do we receive your first name, last name, email, and your result, meaning your overall band and your four scores, not your individual answers.
• Booking a call: Scheduling is handled by TidyCal, embedded on /connect. Information you enter there (name, email, chosen time) is collected by TidyCal directly, under its own privacy policy, not by us.

We also collect standard analytics information automatically through Google Analytics when you browse the site: Pages visited, general location and device information, and how you found us. This uses cookies, as described below.

Where This Information Goes

Depending on which form you use, your information may be sent to and stored by:

• Supabase, the database that stores contact form submissions
• Resend, which delivers our email notifications when you submit a form
• Substack, if you subscribe to our newsletter, When People Thrive
• Google Sheets, where we keep an internal record of inquiries and assessment results
• Google Analytics, for site usage data

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies And Local Storage

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and measure site usage. Separately, this site stores a couple of small flags directly in your browser (not sent to us) to remember, for example, that you already subscribed or closed a prompt, so it does not show you the same thing twice. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, send the newsletter you signed up for, deliver assessment results you requested, and understand how people use the site so we can improve it. If you contact us about work, we may also use your information to follow up about a potential engagement.

How Long We Keep It

We keep information for as long as it is useful for the purposes described here, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.

Your Rights

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time, by emailing info@catalyzingchange.com. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any issue.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top reflects the most recent update. If changes are significant, we will make that clear on this page.
